Whether through academia or her many years in private practice across diverse branches of Architecture, Eva Jensen has aspired to design for the highest possible levels and quality standards. To unify space, structure and detail into an elegant cohesive whole. At different points throughout her career, as an assistant professor at KADK, and later as a practicing architect, Eva has dedicated time to in-depth research and development to produce notable installations and public exhibitions. Eva Jensen believes that an Architectural practice should be ingrained with enduring academia and an enthusiasm for design innovation. Always striving for transformation and further progress. Granted Residencies at both the Danish Institute in Rome and Athens, Eva Jensen is a recipient of Awards, and a design patent.

With Danish origins and informed by her Nordic heritage, Eva Jensen offers elegant aesthetics, a secure vision, and a comprehensive hands-on approach to Architecture and Design. Eva Jensen designs give shape to spaces and objects, that are motivated by function, and infused with poetry, connecting people with culture and nature. The studio creates timeless design, tailored for the individual, bringing joy and value to all.

WHO WE ARE – OUR DNA

OUR DNA

WHO WE ARE

Eva Jensen Design is an award-winning New York based multidisciplinary Architecture and Interior Design Studio founded in 2005 by New York State Licensed Architect and Principal Eva Christine Jensen, AIA, MAA.

We are a team of engaged architects, designers and consultants with a passion to shape, and an aptitude to listen and collaborate. We offer a focused mindset, a thorough and thoughtful process, and a commitment for giving form to the needs and desires of our clients. We create elegant aesthetics with notions of simplicity in architecture and interior design, and provide sound expertise to make certain that projects, at conclusion, are functional and have atmosphere. We direct our energy and resolve to advocate that construction is completed with high quality standards, efficiency and within a project framework of budget, schedule and scope.

Calling upon our roots in the Danish design tradition, we strive to extract essence of function and form, and see potential in context of space. Our approach to design emerges from equal part purpose and poetry in union with technology and engineering. Through analysis of complex conditions, options and opportunities, we seek to synthesize a distilled design that is viable to implement and unites with our client’s vision. We emphasize a hands-on and detail-oriented approach from initial planning through project completion.

We create spaces that connect people to culture and nature, and seek design cohesiveness and continuity that focuses on light, materials and structure. Our approach articulates a timeless design and through the power of design we strive for innovation and authentic solutions.

WHAT WE DO

Eva Jensen Design offers an international experience rooted in the Danish design tradition. Our work encompasses a full range of architecture and interior design projects with a proven expertise in high-end residential architecture, interiors, furniture design, and art installations.

Knowledge gathered from years of experience, and with a wide range of professional partners, gives us insight and an accumulated awareness. This, together with our network of highly qualified consultants, skilled contractors, craftsmen, artisans, and sought after vendors allow us to bring value to our clients. We are a vertically integrated Architecture firm that offers a comprehensive suite of design services providing our clients a consolidated project interface, for better control over the full design process, including budget, through to project implementation and final completion. We work with clients in a flexible and efficient manner while applying years of proven problem-solving skills for resolution and final project execution.

In the tradition of “gesamtkunstwerk”, we design in all scales of architecture, and sculpt spaces with a clear vision and functional purpose. We perceive private residences as portraits of the owners, reflecting their essence, and create commercial projects to publicize a company brand or ethos. Our furniture designs are meticulously tailored for the individual and spaces they inhabit. The body of our work reflects the Danish design tradition, and speaks of simplicity and sophisticated luxury.

We draw inspiration from nature, it’s enduring strength, ingenuity, and it’s brilliant structures, compositions and engineering, developed through the evolution of time. The elements, that are part of nature, offer us insight and direction.

With an aspiration to connect people with culture and nature, we create spaces and atmospheres that can empower to reveal life’s promises and fulfill it’s potential.

HOW WE DO IT

HOW WE DO IT

Our methodology is shaped by an analytic, artistic and systematic mindset. We develop our work through inspirational references, research and thorough analysis of client program and site context. We offer an understanding of structures and a sensibility of natural light, materials, and color with a meticulous concern for detail. Our distilled design solutions are complimented by an eloquent architectural vocabulary.

Encouraging our clients to express their thoughts and ideas we approach projects with a determination to transform these intentions into buildable designs within the constructs of budget, scope and schedule.

Our approach to design begins with listening, and learning from our client, studying their design needs and observing the project site. We seek to extract the essence of function, form and site while realizing the full potential in context of space.

Our final design solutions are developed to tie all parts into a cohesive whole with a narrative that revolves around simplicity, elegance and functionality.

During the build process our team works closely with the various contractors, fabricators and consultants, and are engaged in the construction site process. We provide expertise, diligence and perseverance in management of the project throughout to ensure a timely completion.

Interior services are managed in parallel with construction, to ensure upon conclusion that furnishings are completed with furniture, accessories and artwork in place. This additional coordination, and sense of urgency we provide, means our clients can move in without delay. Enabling them to resume life in their new personal residences, and with commercial clients, gain time to generate new business.
