Small Bench

The custom designed bench, located in the Master dressing area, was created to accommodate preparation for leaving the home, and as a surface to place your clothes, accessories and other precious items when preparing to go out, or when arriving home.

The design was created with above functions in mind, and was detailed as a solid oak frame structure assembled with wood joints for a minimal and clean design. The wood frame was completed with a traditional Danish soap finish, and the seat upholstered in Danish rustic leather.

The materials selected were carefully chosen to tie in with other furnishing in the apartment including low PK33 stools in the Foyer and Egg chair in the Family room.

The bench was designed as a “junior” version of the bench credenza located in the foyer hallway.

The bench offers both seat and surface for placing one’s purse and more. In ensemble with the bench credenza in the foyer, the small bench is proportioned and placed at the end of the East West circulation axis of the apartment to integrate and emphasize the overall interior design intent. It outlines the expanse, while at the same time connecting the spaces along the axis as well as the two sides of the Master dressing area.
