In conjunction with an interior design project the client had two independent requests. One: a place to hide the Living room subwoofer speaker, and two: a pedestal or counter surface to place a small sculpture (not shown here).
We merged these two requirements into one smaller custom designed credenza to place the subwoofer inside, with handle cutouts to open the cabinet doors for access to the speaker.
The credenza top serves as an “art pedestal” with a refined surface to place the sculpture.
The design was articulated in an oak wood frame with white lacquer doors and side panels to tie in with a built-in white lacquer wall unit and oak dining table and chairs.
